The male label is associated with a greater risk of harm
 

For the male labeled (someone who was given the male label at birth), there are higher rates of

  • Suicide
  • Substance abuse
  • Violence
  • Exclusion from school
  • Incarceration
  • Rough sleeping 

The male labeled are less likely to get the help they need

  • The male labeled are conditioned to believe that they are invulnerable
  • Society is conditioned to view the male labeled as invulnerable
  • There is a gender bias when the male labeled seek help​
