Book release - October 2021

I have some exciting news to share with you.

My book, Beyond the Blue: A Survival Guide for the Male Labelled, and a Healthier Society for All, will be published later this year.  If you haven’t seen me for the last year, or I have been staring absent-mindedly into the distance and barely registered you, that is why!

Beyond the Blue is very dear to my heart, and it has been forming since 1988, when my Uncle Gavin died by suicide.  Ever since then, I have wanted to help those who are least likely to get help. The rates of suicide and trauma are the highest amongst the Male Labelled, yet they are the least likely to access mental healthcare.  This is even more significant when the Male Label intersects with other aspects, such as a person’s racial or ethnic identity, their true gender identity, and their sexuality.  Untreated depression, anxiety, and trauma poses a risk for all of us in society.
